Full Feature Demo
Suno offers a comprehensive suite of tools for music creation, encompassing song generation, style customization, and organizational features. This section provides a demonstration of these core functionalities.
Song Creation
The primary function of Suno is to enable users to create songs rapidly. This can be achieved through a simple descriptive text input or by specifying detailed parameters including lyrics, musical style, and title.
To initiate song creation:
- Navigate to the
Create
section, identified by a Create button. - In the Song Description field, enter a text description of the desired song. If no lyrics are needed, enable the Instrumental toggle.
- For more control, use the Custom toggle to reveal additional fields where you can input Lyrics, the Style of Music, and Title. The Create button will be enabled once these fields are filled.
- After clicking Create, Suno generates two distinct versions of the song.
- Provide feedback on the generated songs using the thumbs up and down icons to refine future results.
Personas
The Personas feature allows users to capture the essence of a song, including its vocals and style, and reuse it in future creations.
To create a Persona:
- Select a song you like.
- Click the triple-dot More Actions icon, then choose Create > Make Persona.
- A message will appear indicating that personas are public by default. If you want to keep the persona private, toggle to private.
- In the Create a Persona menu, you can:
- Name the Persona
- Generate or upload an avatar
- Add a description
- View the original song the persona is based on
Personas can be accessed and created in your Library under the Personas tab, or via a direct link.
To use a Persona:
- When generating a new song in Custom mode, locate the Personas area above the Title field.
- Click to view your saved Personas and select the one you want to use.
- The style details of the selected Persona will automatically populate in the Style of Music field.
Workspaces
Workspaces offer a way to organize your music creation process beyond the Library. They can be found in the Create menu.
Key uses for Workspaces include:
- Organizing during creation: In the Create menu, find Workspace above the Create button. Click on My Workspace to see available workspaces or create a new one by typing in the empty box and hitting enter.
- Managing edits: Create a workspace for all extended versions of songs created using the
Extend
function. - Batching favorites: Select multiple songs from the Library using Shift+click or Command+click, then move them to a workspace via the More Actions menu.
Workspaces can be filtered to display only specific content such as public songs.
