Plan Comparison & Upgrades
Suno offers a tiered subscription system designed to accommodate various levels of music creation, from casual experimentation to professional production. The system revolves around a credit-based model, where credits are used to generate songs. Understanding the differences between the available plans and how to manage credits is crucial for optimizing your Suno experience.
Free Tier: Basic
The Basic plan is the entry-level, free tier that provides users with 50 credits replenished daily. This plan is ideal for users who are exploring the platform or creating music for non-commercial purposes. The daily credit renewal occurs at Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), ensuring a consistent distribution schedule. While on the Basic tier, songs created are not eligible for commercial use.
Paid Subscriptions: Pro and Premier
For more intensive music creation, Suno offers two paid subscription options: Pro and Premier. These plans provide a larger monthly allotment of credits and enable commercial use rights for created songs.
Pro Plan
The Pro plan includes 2,500 credits that are replenished monthly. This plan is suitable for users who need more credits than the Basic plan but are not yet ready for the highest tier. Pro users also have the option to purchase additional credits if their monthly allotment is insufficient.
Premier Plan
The Premier plan offers 10,000 credits monthly, designed for users who are consistently producing a large volume of music. Like the Pro plan, Premier users can also purchase extra credits as needed.
Credit Replenishment
Credit replenishment schedules differ between the Basic and paid plans.
- Basic Plan: Credits are replenished daily, up to 50 credits, at a set time using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
- Pro and Premier Plans: Credits are replenished monthly on the same day and time as the original purchase. For example, if you subscribed on July 4th at 3 PM local time, your next replenishment will occur on August 4th at 3 PM local time. If you subscribed on the 31st of a month, your replenishment will follow the last day of the month (the 31st when applicable, otherwise the 30th, or the 28th in February).
If you exhaust your monthly credits on a Pro or Premier plan, you will receive the same 50 credit daily allotment as Basic plan users until the next monthly replenishment cycle. Once the new cycle begins, the monthly allotment is used first before the 50 daily credits. Songs made with the 50 credits per day will still be granted commercial use rights, as long as you are still subscribed.
Purchasing Additional Credits
Both Pro and Premier subscribers have the option to purchase additional credits. This option is useful for users who frequently exceed their monthly credit limits. The "Buy More Credits" button can be found in the Usage Details section of your account page.
Choosing the Right Plan
Selecting the appropriate plan depends on your usage needs and creative goals. If you are new to Suno or only creating music occasionally, the Basic plan may be sufficient. For more frequent or professional use, the Pro or Premier plans offer enhanced capabilities and larger credit allotments. If you find yourself needing more credits than your subscription offers, you can purchase additional credits.
